De 20ste eeuw is een tijd waarin de stijlen en de stromingen elkaar snel opvolgen om weer plaats te maken voor iets nieuws. Niet alle stijlen uit de 20ste eeuw zullen de kritiek kunnen blijven doorstaan.
Er wordt vooral nagedacht over het hoe en waarom. Door filosofen en schrijvers worden kunstenaars aan het denken gezet.

Met de zoekmachine Google kunt u goed afbeeldingen zoeken. Het is echter wel even leren om vlot tot resultaten te komen. We geven wat voorbeelden.
Wilt u afbeeldingen die horen bij de Cobra kunststroming klik dan: Cobra = Google+zoeken U krijgt nu circa 6000 zoekresultaten en daar kunt u niet goed mee uit de voeten. Zoek directer bijvoorbeeld Karel+Appel = Google+zoeken Dat worden er nog 450, maar dat is al beperkter. Zoekt u een bepaald schilderij geef dat dan op bijvoorbeeld: Karel Appel Vragende kinderen. Resultaat is vier zoekresultaten!  
Geeft u op: Pablo Picasso dan krijgt u circa 7000 zoekresultaten! Voegt u toe: Zittende vrouw met vishoed,  dan zijn dat er twee!  
Claude Monet, 4120 zoekresultaten, Claude Monet Giverny 640, Claude Monet Tuin te Giverny 2!
